2014 Ford Focus pictures and rumors
Take a look at the new 2014 Ford Focus. We have some spy photos that show new model ahead of reveal, possibly at 2014 Detroit Motor Show. As you can see in a photos below, the car is getting a new face.
It features the same Aston Martin style chrome grille as on the facelifted Fiesta. There’s also a neater bumper design, although the rest of the styling will remain largely unchanged.
Ford will improve materials inside to help the 2014 Ford Focus rival the new VW Golf and SEAT Leon. Plus, the already efficient engines will be tuned to further boost economy.
Several versions of the 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol are offered in the current car, but a new 1.5 diesel is expected at the lower end of the line-up. Plus, emissions will be cut on larger TDCi engines.
This is why we included this vehicle on our website. We love all green cars, not just electric and hybrid vehicles.
The Kuga, C-MAX and Focus now all use the same platform, so a plug-in hybrid Focus using the same drivetrain as the C-MAX hybrid is also a strong possibility.
Ford SYNC voice activation tech and more online services will give the car greater connectivity. The new Focus could debut as early as next year’s Detroit Motor Show, but a spokesman said new engines were likely to appear here before any cosmetic changes arrive.
