BMW has announced the pricing details of its upgraded electric vehicle, the 2014 BMW i3 Array Extender variation for the United States, which is a landmark in the manufacturer’s objective to offer a totally lasting, electric vehicle that still stays real to the Ultimate Driving Machine name.

This model is the first item of the brand-new BMW i sub-brand, and is a truly purpose constructed electric automobile. It’s a new period for electro mobility at the German automobile manufacturer.

Performance

The Range Extender i3 includes a 2 cylinder engine which is utilized as a generator to charge the cars built in battery when it runs below a specific level. It is a 650cc 34 horsepower engine, and the fuel tanks uses up to 2.5 gallons of gas, this added engine broadens the array of the automobile of up to 180 miles.

The conventional variation with the electric only engine is capable of traveling in between 800 and 100 miles on a single charge, the battery can be charged in around 3 hours.

Release Date and Price

The 2014 BMW i3 Range Extender will launch in the United States in the 2nd quarter of 2014 and it will retail for $45,300, this version has double the variety of the standard design. The conventional model BMW i3 will retail for $41,350.
